This is the view from the rear of the ferry from Vashon Island to West Seattle.
On summer evenings when we leave the island to come "home", (I wonder where we feel more at "home") the sun is often setting so beautifully. This was true last weekend, I was stuck by all the layers of beauty. You can see the Olympic mountains in the distance, Blake Island to the right, the Olympic Peninsula straight ahead and the very tip of Vashon island to the left.
It was the end to another wonderful weekend.
